My Danny!

My cousin Danny - one of my best friends - came home from his mission yesterday. I drove to Pasco to meet him at the airport.

The Taylors

Me hugging Danny. Danny pretending to be embarrassed.

Five seconds later, we hate each other.

Don't ask about the weird layout of my pictures. Google Blogger is a pain in the butt when it comes to formatting, so......yeah.

Trip

Well Rob wasn't much of a camera man, he kinda slept for a lot of the trip, but it was a blast to have him along!

The view of the Gorge from Crown Point

Rob and I are gonna go back to Oregon in a few weeks and go to the coast, etc. It should be wicked fun!

Ro-Ad Trip

Rob and I are heading to Oregon for the weekend. I plan to show him (amongst other things):

Multnomah Falls

The Columbia River Gorge historic highway

Canon Beach

Hug Point

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and be gorgeous. It should be a fun weekend....as long as he doesn't get called in to work!!

Don't forget to vote on my poll!

More pictures

Matty and me in a parking lot in Bethesda.

Hamburger Hamlet. I have to be smiling like that in order to contrast with G's lack of expressiveness.

G, Dad, ZZ Top style, with The Grove, Clinton Hyphen Massey Schools, Ohio.

We walked into this steak house and I saw this horsie. I headed toward it and my dad, in third-grader fashion, shoved around me and climbed on.

G, philosophizing.

Me, smiling politely.

Note the luxurious legroom in the back of G's Scion. Excellent.

Just one of the dozen or so accidents in Wyoming.

Looks pretty bad, but I'm sure the driver was only scratched up a bit. Of all the accidents we saw, this was the worst, so that's pretty good (relatively).

Finally home. We drove through Wyoming on Sunday and it was 16 degrees and solid ice on the roads. Monday afternoon we rolled into Portland, which was 72 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, and with trees - and flowers - in full bloom.

Happy Days

Me, looking silly.

Me staring out the car window somewhere in Ohio.
G in his uniform.

Well I spent the last week driving across the country - my 11th time from coast to coast, but I also made a round-trip from VA to UT a few years ago, so....kinda my 13th - and got back yesterday evening. I then spent a really fun night with my friend Rob, tried to sleep in, skipping my earlier two classes for the 5th day in a row, went to my Latin American class then came home and took a nap. I just now finished eating my spaghetti for dinner, and am hoping Rob will want to watch a fun movie so that I don't end up going to bed at 7:30 (even though I need to). The weather here is fabulous, so I'm a bit disappointed that he made plans with his friend. I was going to put on a dress and go play outside. Oh well, I was too tired anyway!

Katherine gets married in less than two months, Garrett is on leave and will be moving to Oregon for a month before starting his MOS school, and I'm not really doing much of anything. Life's pretty good.

Cute Robert.
